If you are looking to inject a little sport into your summer vacation, Gastein and the Motion Arena provide you with the perfect setting to do just that: This is a place where exercise and sport also become a way to experience the mountains themselves: for the trails in the Motion Arena lie at elevations between 830 and 1600 metres.
Located in the three communities of Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein, the Gastein Motion Arena offers our sportier tourists 11 different and clearly way-marked trails extending out for some 120 kilometres. A true alpine paradise for your active, sports-filled vacation! The challenges presented by each trail vary, so you are certain to find one that is ideal for you. Both for power-walking, running and for leisurely strolls.
Panorama boards for the Motion Arena’s trails are located in the town centres of Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein. They will provide you with an overview of all the trails, as well as additional information including degree of difficulty, elevation profiles and trail descriptions.
All of the trails in the Gastein Motion Arena, incidentally, are named after famous winter sports personalities from Austria. In Bad Gastein, for example, you will be greeted by the Franz Klammer Trail; in Bad Hofgastein, the Hansi Grugger Trail awaits, while Dorfgastein is proud to feature the Uli Maier Trail. In total, the Motion Arena offers 121 kilometres of clearly posted trails - guaranteeing all the variety you could possibly hope for!
